OFFICER IN CHARGE: DEPUTY DIRECTOR (CAMPS AND HOMES)
Deputy Director (Camps & Homes) is in charge of the section and as such he is responsible for efficient functioning of the section under overall supervision of Dy. Refugee Rehabilitation Commissioner.
7. PRODUCTION SECTION
Nature of work:
(i) All matters relating to Production Centres such as:
(a) To estimate cost of Production, to secure work order, allocation of job amongst the Production Centres for execution of the order, and delivery of the finished products to the respective parties etc.
(b) Procurement/purchase of raw materials.
(ii) Periodical verification of stores attached to different Production Centres.
(iii) Miscellaneous administration works, enquiries, public relation work, related to Production Centre matters.
(iv) Any other work as may be assigned by the DRRC/RRC.
OFFICER IN CHARGE: SPECIAL OFFICER (PRODUCTION)
Special Officer (Production) is in charge of Production Section of this Directorate and as such he is responsible for efficient management and administration of this wing under guidance and supervision of the Director (Supply & Accounts).
8. ENGINEERING CELL:
(i) Drawing up/scrutiny/vetting up of all infrastructure development schemes for colonies.
(ii) Supervision etc. of the on-going colony development schemes.
(iii) Repair works of Production Centres and Camps & Homes etc.
(iv) All technical matters related to the proper maintenance of the Directorate office as well as the Production Centres and Camps and Homes.
(v) Any other work as may be assigned by the RRC.
Superintending Engineer is in charge of the Engineering Cell and as such he is responsible for proper functioning of this Cell.
A. CALCUTTA DISTRICT R. R. & R. OFFICE:
Calcutta District R. R. & R. Office is one of the former “Zonal Offices” still retained under the Deputy R. R. Commissioner. Its administrative Jurisdiction includes tenement schemes, a few G.S colonies within Calcutta Municipal Corporation.
Deputy R. R. Commissioner has been designated as the “Head” and “Controlling Officer” (G.O. No. 3385 E & S, Dt. 10.4.1961) while Deputy Controller (Rehab) Calcutta, acts as the Officer-in-charge and the Drawing and Disbursing Officer. (G.O. No. 801-Estt. / 4M-15/80; Dt. 12.2.1981).
