C. DISTRICT/ SUB-DIVISIONAL OFFICES
The District and Sub-Divisional Offices were set-up in the past to cope with the sudden influx of refugee from East Bengal (erstwhile East Pakistan, now Bangladesh). The Government Orders, particularly since the 1980s, have been issued towards that end.
