Sub :Waiver of interest due from the allottees tenants of Behala Tenements.
Whereas the Govt. of India has authorized the State Govt. to recover the amount of normal interest from the allottees, who are Govt. Servants, and utilities the same for providing facilities in Behala Colony and Whereas the State Govt. has been authorized to act as the agent of Govt. of India to transfer the existing double-roomed tenements in Behela Colony.
And whereas the Behala Tenements Maintenance Housing Co-operative Society Ltd. has agreed to take the responsibility of maintenance of internal common facilities and outer maintenance, the undersigned is directed by order of the Governor to say that the Governor has been pleased to waive the normal interest due from the allottees of Behala tenements on account of delay payment of installments subject to the following conditions :-
1. That the Behala Tenements maintenance Housing Co-Operative Society Ltd. shall be responsible to carry out at its own cost repairs and maintenance of the internal common facilities (such as over-head water tanks, staircases including installation and maintenance of lights thereon) and outer maintenance (such as white washing, colour painting) in respect of all the tenements in Behala Colony.
2. That henceforth the State Govt. in the R.R. & R. Department shall not be responsible in any way, for carrying out repairs and maintenance of the tenements of Behela Colony.
