the colonies. In this connection Government of India has desired that a Project Implementation Committee be set up at the State Level which will also include a representative of the Ministry of Urban Development.

2. The Governor is, therefore, pleased to constitute a Project Implimentation Committee with the following Members.
(i) Secretary, R. R. & R. Department
ii) Representative of the Ministry of Urban Development
(iii) C.E.O., CMDA or Representative
(iv) Chief Engineer, P. W. Construction Board
(v) Special Secretary, Finance Department

3.The Committee will meet every quarter to approve the projects, seek release of Central assistance and Review implementation.

Upon careful consideration of the present perspectives, the undersigned is directed by order of the Governor to say that the Governor is pleased to introduce modifications of the powers delegated to the local authorities of the Public Works Deptt. vide Clause 6 & Clause 16 of the Public Works Rules, 1987 on the following lines:

Modification No. 1 :
The present limit of vetting other agencies' estimates and accepting tenders on the part of the A. Es. standing on upto Rs. 20,000/- is enhanced to Rs. 30,000/-

Modification No. 2 :
The present limit of vetting other agencies' estimates and accepting tenders on the pan of the E.-Es. standing on Upto Rs. 3,00,000/- is enhanced to Rs. 5,00,000/-.
