I am directed by order of the Governor to say that consequent on the abolition of the post of Zonal Officer. Calcutta-24-Parganas zone with effect from 1.4.61. the Governor has been pleased to direct that the Deputy Refugee Rehabilitation Commissioner, West Bengal, shall, with effect from that date viz.,1.4.61, be the Head of the office of the Calcutta district Relief & Rehabilitation Office (ex-Zonal Office. Calcutta) and shall exercise all the powers and functions which the Zonal Officer used to do in terms of this Department Order No.14027-E & S dated 26.8.58. The Deputy Refugee Rehabilitation Commissioner. West Bengal will also be the appointing authority in respect of the non-gazetted staff in that office.
