.ategories of loan. advanced to the Government of West Bengal for rehabilitation of displaced persons. In pursuance of these orders the State Government in the Refugee Relief & Rehabilitation Department issued matching write-off orders under this Department
Memo. No. 2163(671-B & A/dated 29th May, 1986 and memo No. 1811 (66)-B & A.
dated 9th June, 1987. It has since been decided that apart from these consolidated
write-off orders already issued. orders for writing off these loans ciAegory-wise should row be issued.
2. In accordance with the decision as above the undersigned is directed by order of the Governor to say that the Governor has been pleased to write off an amount of As 1.14,55,512/-(Rupees One Crore Fourteen Lakhs Fifty-five Thousand Five Hundred Twelve) only which amount represents loans to Industrialists for extension of their units vis-a-vis generating employment for the displaced persons and which represents a part of the total written off loans of Rs.34,89.63.391.29 P.
Measures-Non-Plan-1. Irrecoverable loans tdisplaced persons written off" by per contra displaced persons written off" by per contra credit to the head "6250-Loans for other Social Services-00-800.0ther Loans-4. Irrecoverable Loans to displaced persons Written Off."
5. The Dy. Refugee Rehabilitation Commissioner. West Bengal/District Magistrates/ Addl. District Magistrates/Sub-Divisional Officers and Dy. Controller (RR) Calcutta are hereby authorised to issue formal orders for passing on the benefits to the individual !oanees on priority basis.
6. The undersigned is further directed to say that copies of orders passing on the benefits in respect of individual loanees should be sent to this Department for necessary record and information of the Government of India as and when necessary.
7. The District 011icers'Dy. Refugee Rehabilitation Commissioner. West Bengal are rewiested to furnish within a fortnight of the close of every month the monthly statements showing the actual amounts so cleared/adjusted on the strength of this order with all necessary details.
8. The Accountant General. West Bengal is being informed.
9. This order issues with the concurrence of the Finance Deptt. vide their U/O No. Group-N-1751 dated 16th December.1988.
