State Govt.

In continuation of the orders contained in this Department Memo No. 2162-B & A dated 29. 5. 86 and No. 2163-B & A dated 29.5.86. the undersigned is directed to say that in consequence of the loan(s) advanced to the displaced persons having been written off It will be necessary to return the title deeds or the loan bonds, as the case may be, which had been respectively hypothecated or executed by the displace persons at the time of advancement of the loan(s), through a registered deed of reconveyance. These deeds of reconveyance may be executed and signed by the S.D.Os (in respect of the G. S. Colonies) in their respective territorial jurisdiction. The Dy. R. R. Commissioner, West Bengal and ex-officio Dy. Secy. of this Department shall sign the deeds (in respect of the approved Squatters' Colonies).

2. The displaced persons beneficiaries are exempted from payment of stamp-duty and registration cost in terms of Finance (Taxation) Department order No. 4213-F dated 20.10.78 and the Judicial Department Order No.2204-Regn. dated 6.7.79.
