3. The local R. R. Officers may be instructed to implement the scheme in righ! earnest. The concerned district or Sub-divisional level R. R. Officer who will remain the charge of this work should put his initial with date in each deed before submitting the same to the Sub-divisional Oficer concerned for signature.

ORDER

In exercise of the power conferred by clause (a) of sub-section (1) of section 9 of the Indian Stamp Act.1899(2 of 1899). the Governor is pleased hereby to remit in the whole of West Bengal the duty with which a deed of Re-conveyance when executed by the Government of West Bengal in favour of a displaced person of erstwhile East Pakistan. now Bangladesh, due to remission of loan granted by the Government of West Bengal against mortgage of his property is chargeable under the said Act.

Explanation : In this order "displaced person" means a person who on account of civil disturbances or fear of such disturbances in any area forming part of erstwhile East Pakistan. now Bangladesh, has left or has been displaced from his place of residence in such area, and who has subsequently been residing in India.
