Sub : General guidelines for transfer of officer (DRO/DC (R). SDRRO &

1 That tenure in a particular station should not be less than ordinarily three years under normal circumstances.
2. Transfer from one station to another may be considered in case of urgency on genuine compassionate ground of a Officer/employee even if he has not completed the prescribed limit of stay at a particular station.
3. Mutual transfer on completion of tenure of 2 (two) years at the present place of posting may be considered under normal circumstances provided that the persons applying for such transfer do not seek posting at a place where they had occasion to serve during the proceeding 5(five) years.
4. Transfer can be made on grounds of administrative reasons in relaxation of the prescribed limit of stay.
5. An Officer/employee who has only 2 (two) years of service left prior to retirement may be moved to the stations nearer to his residence of his prayer.
6 On promotion. an Officer should not ordinarily be posted in the same station but should be transferred to another station in consideration of the work load of the concerned station.
7. When the staff are rendered surplus due to reduction of number of inmates of particular Home/Infirmaries, they can be transferred to other home/Infirmaries where their service can be utilised.
8. Posting in the around Calcutta (i.e. in Alipore. Howrah and Head-quarters) has to be made with due care. The Officer/employee who has no opportunity or sparing occasion to be posted in Calcutta, will have preference over those who had earlier posting in Calcutta
