Sub : Marriage grants to inmates of Homes and infirmaries.
In ctmtiquation of this Deptt. Memo. No. 5407-H & M dated 26. 10. 73 on the above subject the undersigned is directed to say that the question of an upward revision of the marriage grant to a girl inmates of a Home/Infirmary who is given in marriage has been under the consideration of this Govt. for some time past.
2. The Governor has. now been pleased to direct an upward revision of the amount of marriage grant from the existing level of Rs, 750/.(Rupees seven hundred fifty) to Rs.1.000/- (Rupees one thousand) only per marriage of a girl inmate or the marriage of a widow living in a Home or Infirmary with immediate effect.
3. In granting marriage grant at the enhanced rate the Refugee Rehabilitation Commissioner is requested to ensure that the expenditure to be incurred on this account is covered by the per capita ceiling fixed for the inmates of Home and Infirmary in this Deptt. memo. No. 430•1-1 & M dated 28.8.73.
4. TThe terms and corditions as latd down in G.0 No. 7807-Rehab dt.25.7.67 shall however, remain unaltered.
5. The Accountant General, West Bengal has been informed.
6. This order issues with the concurrence of Financial Advisor R. R. & R. Deptt. vide his U/O. No.223-F. A. dated.7.6.85.
