MEMORANDUM
Sub : In-situ rehabilitation of Titagarh Women's Home families on
the land covered by the Home after dismantling the structure

The undersigned is directed to state that in terms of this Depatment's Order No. 3747-H & M dated 5.10.90. a general decision was taken on the basis of the recommendation of the Screening Committee of this Department for winding up certain homes includes Titagarh Women's Home in the district of 24-Parganas(N) after providing the inmates with rehabilitation according to the policy of tha State Government. The Titagarh Women's Home consists of 15 Barracks spread over an area of 2.10 acres (126 kathas). At present it Houses 68 refugee families consisting of 89 inmates. Most of these families are single unit families comprising of destitute, aged and infirm women. In many Homes, including Titagarh, thore is a demand even from the families which consist of singe aged women, for in-situ rehabilitation by re-settling the Home families on the land covered by the home after dismantling the structure thereon.
2. After careful consideration of the matter. the undersigned is directed by order of the Governor to say that the Governor has been pleased to approve in the public illterest the in-situ rehabilitation scheme for Titagarr. Women's Home in the District of North 24-parganas under the administrative control of Refugee Relief & Rehabilitation Department, details of which are below : -
2.1. As many of the barracks as possible with Titagarh Women's Home will be demolished and the resultant free land will be distributed to the families/inmates seeking rehabilitation along with other rehabilitation benefits as noted below :—

after keeping necessary provisions for roads, pathways and other common services.
(b) house-building loan Ct Rs. 9.000/- (Rupees Nine thousand) only per family.
(c) Small trade loan at Rs. 1 .000/- (Rupees one thousand) only per single unit family and Rs. 5,000/- (Rupees Five thousand) only per multi-unit family,
(d)maintenance grant Rs. 45/- (Rupees Forty five) per month per dolee member for 3 months, i.e. Rs. 135/- (Rupees One hundred thirty five) per dolee member in all.
