Sub : Winding up of Homes.
The undersigned is directed to say that with a view to streamlining the administration cf the Homes the question of winding up of certain Homes and accommodating the inmates of the wound up Homes in a few Homes to be maintained permanently had been under consideration of the Government for quite some time. Prior to taking a decision it was also thought necessary to assess the number of the Home families which belong to the rehabilitable group and which belong to the P.L category. With this end in view a Screening Committee was constituted and the report of the said Screening Committee was considered and examined. After due consideration it has been decided by the Government in the R.R. & R. Department, in public interest, that the following
6 (six) Homes under category 'A' shall be wound up in phases as early as possible and those under category 'B' shall be maintained as permanent ones
