Sub : Allotment of vacant homestead plots in G. S. Colonies.

 

In partial modification of clause (3) of this Department Memo. No.1424(30) Rehab dt.16.4.90, the undetsigned is directed to say that the District Magistrates should send the list of the eligible applications together with connected papers to the Dy. Refugee Rehabilitation Commissioner, West Bengal. R. R. & R. Directorate, 10, Camac Street, Calcutta-17 within 2(two) months from the date of publication of an advertisement in the media. Other conditions as stipulated in the above quoted G. 0. will remain unchanged.

It is further clarified that when there will be much more applications than that of actual vacant plots in the District, the total list of admissible applicants should be sent to the Dy. Refugee Rehabilitation Commissioner. West Bengal. for vetting. The Dy. Refugee Rehabilitation Commissioner will then examine the refugee status of the applicants along with monthly income, relevant particualrs. and declaration made by the applicants. Preference should be given to more needy applicants/families

Sub : Allotment of vacant homestead plots in G. S. Colonies.

 

The undersigned is directed to say that the question of allotment of vacant homestead plots in the Government Sponsored Colonies in different districts of West Bengal to the eligible bonafide displaced persons was under consideration of the Government in the Refugee Relief & Rehabilitation Department for sometime past. After careful consideration in the matter the following policy and guideline have been framed for speedy allotment of vacant homestead plots in different Government Sponsored Colonies in a systematic manner :—

(1) All the District Magistrates shall prepare a list of such vacant plots available for allotment in the Government Sponsored Colonies of the district. At the time of reckoning the number of such vacant plots both the allotted but vacant plots and unallotted vacant plots are to'be taken into consideration. Proposal for revocation might
