such prayers should be considered very carefully and allotment may be made in genuine cases under special consideration. The following guidelines should be followed in dealing with the prayers for shop plots :—
- The applicant should be a bonafiede person and resident of the refugee Colony in which the shopplot in located
- He is in effective possession of the shop plot;
- There is no dispute involving the shop plot:
- He has a trade licence for running shop:
- The plot is not required for any purpose which will serve the common interests of the colony people;
- The colony committee has recommended the case;
- The applicant will not utilize the plot for any purpose other than establishment of a shop;
- The plot will be allotted on lease basis for a maximum period of 9 years with the right or renewal of lease;
- Each proposal for allotment of a shop plot shall be finalised with the approval of Minister-in-Charge.
- If the plot is within a refugee colony set up in a municipal area, the approval of the municipality will be required.

The undersigned is directed to state that the matter relating to utilization of the tanks. baors and watery areas within the lands acquired by this Department has been engaging the attention of the Government in the R. R. & R. Department for quite sometime and after a careful consideration it has been decided that the following procedure should be followed in settling such watery areas.
1. In case where developed colonies in urban areas have been made over to the Municipalities, the existing policy as described in G.O. No. 6446-Rehab. dated 21.11.81 should continue to operate.
