Sub : Provision of filling up and distribution of tank plots to the
people without the approval of the Government (Pre-1951)
Squatters' Colony.

The undersigned is directed to say that reports are often received that some colony committees are taking initiative to fill up the existing tank plots in their colonids and to distribute them to the local people on their own without any approval of the reference to the Government. Such action on the part of the colony committee are highly ,regular and should not be allowed.
2. Local R.R. Officers having jurisdiction over the colonies where there are existing undistributed tank plots, are requested to maintain watch so as to guard against such activities and to bring the matter to the notice of the Refugee Relief & Rehabilitation Directorate or the concerned district authority for appropriate action.
