(c) Clubs and Libraries :
  1. Those cases of registered Organisations and Libraries in refugee-populated localities may be considered where they actually exist, are registered under the Indian Societies Registration Act.. 1908 and are in occupation of the land in the refugee colonies and are rendering genuine service to the community at subsidised rates.
  2. In order to examine whether the organisation or library is providing a genuine social service, enquiries may be made by this Department and the organisation may be asked by this Department to produce papers to show the nature of their activities and whether they are recognised by the Government or, whether they have received any assistance from the State or Cental Government.
  3. An Organisation does not necessarily have to be aided by or recognised by State or Central Government to be eligible for allotment of land. However. this will certainly be an important consideration. Each case can be decided on merit depending upon the nature of the activities of the organisation.
  4. In all such cases, the area of land already occupied by the organist on subject to a limit of 5 (five) Kathas may be given. The land may be given on 30 years' renewable lease on a token rent of Re. 1/- per annum. The lease will be liable to cancellation 1 the land is not used/ceases to be used for the purpose for which it is granted. This modifies this Department's Order No. 4742-Rehab/5L-30/80 dated 3.8.81.

 

(d) Hospitals :
Cases for grant of land for hospitals shall be referred to the Land and Land Reforms Department because the requirement of land will be considerable. However, if there is any free clinic or Social Welfare Organisation in existence which is providing free medical treatment or other health facilities to the local residents (e.g.a Yogashram), the actual area occupied by such an institution may be settled in favour of the institution. subject to a maximum limit of 5(five) Kathas. This modifies this Department's Order No. 4742-Rehab/5L-30/ 80 dated 3.8.81.

 

(e) Social Welfare Organisations :
If any genuine Social' Welfare Organisation registered under the Indian Societies Registration Act. 1908 wishes to set up a centre for rendering service to the inhabitants of refugee colonies either in the area of health, education. professional training, employment or any other programme for social and economic betterment of the inmates of the refugee colonies, land may be provided by this Department This modifies this Department's Order No. 4742 Rehabk5L-30,80 dated 3.8.81

 

(f) Working Girls' Hostels :
Such cases may be transferred to Land and Land Reforms Department. This modifies this Department's eart ar Order No. 4742-Rehab/5L-30/80 dt. 3.8.81.

 

(g) Parks :
Lands for playground or parks in refugee populated areas may be transferred to local Self Government authorities or a Government recognised Organisation on a nominal lease rent or Re.1/- per katha per year for a period of 30
