the various owning Departments to the transfer proposals. The matter was duly placed before the State Cabinet at its meeting held on 12.9.89 since formalities of inter-departmental transfer of land in such cases was taking unduly long time and it would be very difficult to adhere to the prescribed time schedule of conferment of title deeds to the Displaced persons in approved Squatters' colonies on such State Departmental lands.
4. In the circumstances mentioned above, the undersigned is directed by order of the Governor to state that Governor is now pleased to direct that lands under occupation of all categories of approved Displaced persons' Squatters' Colonies, where formal transfer proposals have been submitted to the various owning Departments of the Government of West Bengal (Other than Khas/Vested lands) but no objection to relinquishment has been raised by the owning Departments, will no longer require formalities of transfer and will be deemed to be R. R. & R. Department's land for the purpose of issuing title deeds to the eligbie oisplaced persons in the time-bound scheme of regulansation of these approved Displaced persons' Squatters' Colonies.

In continuation of the G.O. referred to above, the undersigned is directed to state that the land under above mentioned category of approved displaced persons Squatters' Colonies where formal transfer plan and proposals have been sent/will be sent to the various owning Department of Government of West Bengal (other than KhasNested land) from R. R. Department but no objection to relinquishment has been raised/will be raised by the owning Department within 30 days from the date of submitting the plan and proposal, will no longer require formal transfer in accordance with the State Cabinet
