at the enhanced rate of Rs.200/- per head per month and Rs.120/- per head per month respectively with effect from 1.6.97 was accorded vide G.0. contained in this Deptt. memo. No.1898-H & M dated 10.9.97.

As because the cash dole was being paid so long on fortnightly basis in terms of this Deptt. earlier Order No 1441-H & M dt.11.5. 87. a question has now arisen as to whether payment of the cash dole at the enhanced rate should be made on monthly basis or be made on fortnightly basis as before.

After due consideration of all the relevant aspect of the matter, the undersigned in directed to clarify that as the Government order bearing no. 1898-H & M dated 10.9.97 supersedes all previous Order on the matter, cash dote and dry dole at the enhanced rate as per provisions therein, may be issued on a monthly basis.

All concerned are being informed accordingly.

Dear Sir
In reference to the recommendation of the 8th Finance Commission, 1984, the Government of India had written off a total sum of Rs.35.49,53,000/- being the outstanding balance of retending loans sanctioned to the displaced persons. The State Government in the Refugee Relief & Rehabilitation Department sanctioned writing off the same amount in their Memo. No. 2162(67)-B & A and 2163(67)B & A both dated 29th May 1986 in order to pass on the benefit of remission to the individual loanees. Guidelines for writing off such loans advanced to displaced persons from East Pakistan (now Bangladesh) were also issued in Refugee Relief & Rehabilitation Department No. 3285(170)-B & A dated 3rd September,1986.

2. Needless to add that sufficient momentum should be imparted on the work of writing off of loans, issue of reconveyance deeds and loan remission certificates to displaced persons. To achieve this the rehabilitation officers and R. R. staff posted in your district and ub-divisions should be fully employed and wholly utilised without any Interruption. Personal supevision from your level will be very necessary in order to speed lip the work and complete it in a time schedule.

3. I would advise that each District Magistrate and Collector should fix up a monthly target tor issue of reconveyance deeds and loan remission certificates to the displaced persons so that the work can be completed as quickly as possible. I am
