Sub : Rehabilitation benefits to Camp families whose names were struck
of the Camp rolls.

The undersigned is directed to say that among the displaced families in Camps in West Bengal there are some whose names were initially borne on the Camp rolls but were subsequently removed from the Camp register and their doles stopped for various reasons although the families continued to live in the Camp or removed themseleves to Govt. Plots given to them. Orders and instructions regarding the admissibility of Rehabn. benefits to certain Sections of these families have been issued from time to time. But from references received from some Districts of the Orders issued. Taking these into view and also rehabn. benefits which are now being offered to other sections of such families. Govt. is pleased to issue consolidated instructions as follows for guidance. These instructions supersedes all previous orders and instructions in this behalf.
2. The aforesaid families may be classified as follows
(a) Families whose names were removed from Camp rolls because the H. F. was given employment in the Camp administration as teachers, General Assistants, Helpers. etc.. but the family continued to live in the Camp.
(b) Families whose names were remove from Camp rolls as H. F. secured employment but the family continued to iive in the Camp.
(c) Families whose names were remove from Camp roll because in the joint screening by Govt. of India and State Govt. Officers held since 1958 they were declared in-eligible to continue as Capers but the family continued to live in the Camp.
(d) Families whose heads absented from the Camps for a period exceeding 30 days and the names of the families were removed but the families continued to live in the Camps.
3. Rehabilitation benefits which may be given to the above categories of femilies are enumerated below :
(a) Category (a) : Land. purchase and house buildings loan and either small trade loan or terminal benefit (Ex-gratia payment for termination of service but not both).
(b) Category (b) :Land purchase loan where necessary and house building loan but not small trade loan.
