(1) After the death of a lessee his Successor/Successors will inherit the lease property under the laws of inheritance as may be applicable.
(2) Govt. may not have any objection if the property is partitioned among the various lessees who have jointly received the property, provided no question of transfer is involved. The interested parties may take recourse to normal procedure of execution of partition deed and the deptt. may not get involved in this.
(3) The Departmental Officers acting as temporary Sub-Registrars are entrusted with the Job of registration of deeds by virtue of which properties are transferred to the displaced persons by Govt. They are not concerned with the transfer of property between private parties.

sub: Conferment of freehold Title Deed in urban D. P. Colonies.

I am directed by order of the Governor to say that the question of conferment of freehold right and title in urban colonies to the displaced persons from former East Pakistan (now Bangladesh) has been under active consideration of the State Government for quite some time and the Governor is now pleased to declare tha the State Government has decided to give freehold and permanent title deeds to the occupants of the D. P. Colonies situated in urban/municipal areas on State Governments own vested, khas or departmental lands. D. P. Colonies situated in State Governments such own lands in respect of which leasehold deeds have already been registered will also come under the purview of this scheme and the lessees of such Colonies will be eligible to receive freehold title on surrendering their leasehold rights.
2. This order however does not cover the D. P. Colonies situated on landsoccupied through .the L.A. procedings with the grants received from the Government of India
