As you are all aware, the lay out plans(L.O.P.S) in respect of the Government sponsored Colonies were drawn up long ago and approved by the Refugee Rehabilitation Commissioner. Substantial changes in the configuration of the L. 0. P.s since then have necessitated re-survey and drawing up of revised L. O. P.s in many cases. To expedite matters, it has been decided that re-survey, wherever necessary. may be undertaken immediately and revised L. 0. P.s. may be drawn up and approved by the District Magistrate or A. D. M. in-charge of the R.R. or S.D.O as may be convenient- instead of having to get the same approved by the Refugee Rehabilitation Commissioner. Advance action may be taken to confer title deeds on the basis of these revised L. 0. P.s by D.M./A.D.M./S.D.O.s and formal post facto approval may be obtained from the Refugee Rehabilitation Commissioner afterwards. in due course of time.
2. In the case of squatters colonies, such L.O.P.s need not be got approved by the Refugee Rehabilitation Commissioner and approval of the District magistrate or A.D.M. R.R. or S.D.O. R.R. will suffice.
