Sub : Determination of Refugee Status for the purpose of regularisation of refugee squatters.
In partial modification of this Deptt. Memo No. 264(75)-Rehab dt. 19. 1. 88 readwith Memo No. 1912(65)-Rehab dt. 19. 5. 88 and No. 602-Rehab dt. 20. 2. 90 on the above subject. and to say that it has been decided that for the purpose of regularisation of displaced family or for the grant of a No Objection Certificate. the certificate of a duly elected President/Secretary of an approved Colony Committee shall not be taken into consideration.
2. The M.P.s/M.L.A.s/'Municipal Councillors/Commissioners/Sabhapati of Panchayat Samities/Chairmans or Vice-Chairmans of Notified Area Authorities issuing Certificate containing all material particulars in the proforma as stipulated in the G. 0. under reference may be accepted for the purpose.
2. The M.P.s/M.L.A.s/'Municipal Councillors/Commissioners/Sabhapati of Panchayat Samities/Chairmans or Vice-Chairmans of Notified Area Authorities issuing Certificate containing all material particulars in the proforma as stipulated in the G. 0. under reference may be accepted for the purpose.

Sub : Guieline for implementation of the scheme of conferment of right
and title to refugee settlers in Urban areas of West Bengal.

In partial Modification of the Order issued in this Department Memo. No. 1240(17). Rehab dt. 20. 4. 87 the undersigned is directed to say that the clause 2 (V),stially shall be substituted-by the -following :
2.(v) Where the lease deed has been executed and lease holder/holders has/ have since expired, the surviving members of the family should produce succession certificate Alternatively, they shall produce affidavit to the effect that they are the_ ony_ successors of the deceased lessee under the Hindu Succession Act.
The contents of the affidavits should be verified and it should be ascertained who are actual heirs/successors in whose names the free hold title deed jointly or seperately may be issued. if necessary, by bye-numbering the plot.
