CIRCULAR
Sub : Recognition of D. P. Colony Committees; Constitution and
Functions of recognised Colony Committees :
Functions of recognised Colony Committees :
1 A Colony Committee should be a democratically elected body with representatives of the inhabitants of the D P. Colony for obtaining recognition cf the R. R. and R. Directorate.
2. They will look after the general interests of the displaced persons re-settled in the Colony.
3. The R. R. & R Department, the Directorate and all R. R. Offices located in the districts and subdivisions may consult, if necessary, the Secretary, President and/or other members of the Committee in order to come to a decision on regard to and matter pertaining to the Colony or its inhabitants.
4. The Committees may represent to the Government in the R. R. & R. Department and the Directorate any issue about general welfare and implementation of the Government
